They started the day at 11.00am with sherry and mince pies, Clive the guitarist sat playing at the entrance hall to meet the visitors. Competitions included a tombola, guess the name of the frog and the weight of the cake with the proceeds raised going to the local hospice.
There was a buffet lunch for everyone and then the afternoon entertainer sang and got everyone up dancing.
At afternoon tea, we held the main raffle prize and cut the 30th year cake. It was nice for the new regional director ( Melinda Glover) to pop in and join us on this important day and she had the honour of cutting the cake.
Everyone that joined us on the day said what a lovely time they had. We would like to thank all of the staff that worked on Saturday for all their hard work and making the day a memorable one for the residents and families.
